joined Vandeveer Garzia as an associate in October 2010. James focuses his practice on defense
litigation in first and third party auto negligence, personal injury, premises
liability and general negligence.
James graduated from Central Michigan
University in 2005 where he earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Journalism
with an emphasis in Broadcasting. He was
also a member of the Debate Team and the Student Government Association. James earned his Juris Doctorate from Wayne
State University in 2009. While in law school, James was a member of the Mock
Trial program and was the recipient of the Board of Governors Academic
Scholarship.
James became a member of the State Bar of
Michigan in 2009 and is also a member of the American Bar Association and the
Detroit Metropolitan Bar Association. He was admitted to the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan in 2011.
Prior to joining the firm, James gained litigation experience in the
fields of criminal defense and family law.
